Lauricidin

Lauricidin is a concentrated mini-pellet of sn1 (3) –Monolaurin. It is a combination of Lauric acid and glycerol combined into a single non-toxic and non-irritating product. Pure Lauric acid cannot be digested because it is severely irritating. When it is chemically bound to glycerol to form Monolaurin, there is no irritation or other gastrointestinal problems.   Lauricidin is derived from tropical oil, but there is no coconut oil in the product. The Lauric acid is extracted from the coconut oil as a pure lipid. In this form, there are no allergens (proteins) which would be present in whole coconut or coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil by itself has no germicidal qualities.

Prof. Jon J. Kabara was the first to discover the anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties of Monolaurin. Lauricidin, a highly purified form of Monolaurin, is now offered by MDs and other health professionals around the world for its overall health benefits. The Lauricidin from Med-Chem labs is made in the Netherlands.

Lauricidin acts as an anti-viral by disintegrating the viral envelope that protects the virus in the body. This allows the body to rid itself of the virus. According to the website, www.lauricidin.com, the use of Lauricidin can inactivate microorganisms such as Influenza virus, Pneumonovirus, Listeria, Streptococci, Staphylococcus, Helicobacter pylori, and ringworm. You can find the complete list on the website.

How to take Lauricidin

Children (3-10) year olds – Do not chew pellets. To be taken with meals. The mini pellets can be placed in the mouth and swallowed with water or juice. Do not take with hot liquids. For difficult situations, try placing the pellets (whole or powdered) into applesauce, pudding, peanut butter, etc. For very young children it is best to start with 1-3 pellets/day for several days before gradually increasing the dose. The usual initial level of Lauricidin is increased gradually to twice/thrice daily for a week or two.

Adults – To be taken with or after meals. The mini pellets can be placed in the mouth and swallowed with water or juice. Do not take with hot liquids. Do not chew or take as a powder. The recommended initial level of Lauricidin is ~0.75 gram (1/4 blue scoop) or less two or three times daily for a week before increasing the amount. The level can then be increased to 1.5 grams (1/2 blue scoop) one, two or three times daily there after. Some people start with a full scoop 2-3 x a day if they are already sick to force a herximer response & hopefully a quicker recovery.

Side Effects

Lauricidin is a non- toxic nutritional lipid. It may, however, increase the die off of microorganisms, and a reaction may occur resulting in flu-like symptoms such as headache, fatigue or skin rash. This is a sign that your body is responding positively to the treatment. If manageable, continue using at recommended dose. This should resolve in a few days to a week. If these symptoms persist or are causing discomfort, you may reduce dosage or stop using product until symptoms resolve.
